About Us
The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) was conceptualized from the CARICOM Committee on Cultural Policy which commenced in the early 90’s, and further developed from the Regional Cultural Policy of the Caribbean Region along with the Committee’s islandwide consultation with cultural groups and cultural activists to help realize the National Cultural Policy of Saint Lucia which includes the establishment of the Cultural Development Foundation.
Its mandate is to implement the National Cultural Policy of Saint Lucia.
The Cultural Development Foundation was established in April 1, 2002, by an act of Parliament Dated August 2000 (CDF ACT OF 2000).
The Cultural Development Foundation is a Statutory Board, under the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and the Creative Industries.
