Tyrone Robert Harris

Sr. Event & Production Officer

A virtual product of the CDF, Tyrone Harris has been with the organization from its original inception in 2002 to present.  During his eleven plus years at the CDF he has held the posts of Properties Officer, Accounts Officer, Cultural Field Officer and at present Sr. Event & Production Officer.

Possessing a propensity for the production of events, Tyrone has successfully coordinated many major events over the years such as the Inter Commercial House Calypso Competition (2006 – 2013), Jr. Panorama (2007), Groovy & Power Soca Competitions (2009 – 2010), Independence Eve Flag Raising & Celebration (2012),  National Art Festival Events and the King Lear Production (2013).

Constantly gaining experience on the job, he always brings enthusiasm and total commitment to each and every task assigned by the CDF.  He has represented the CDF both regionally and internationally, attending the EXPO Zaragoza (Spain 2008) and Carifesta X (Guyana 2008).  A graduate of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School, Tyrone has completed certificate courses in Business Accounting (NRDF/UWI) and attended short Information Technology courses at School of Cinema & Photography (Venezuela) and UWI Mona Campus (Jamaica).

Tyrone believes that his main goal, as related to his work at the CDF, is to help catalyze and realize the social development and conservation of the St. Lucian person, community and country.  He credits a great deal of his professional development to many of his fellow workmates and managers over the years from whom much was and continues to be learnt.
