Ponm Damou Kreations is looking to bury the proverbial mantra of the starving artists when it explores arts as a business, this Thursday, November 16, at the third edition of ArtScape at the Alliance Francaise, Point Seraphine, Castries from 8:00 pm.
ArtScape is an exposition of the performing and visual arts, inclusive of poetry, music, dance, drama, comedy, puppetry, film, animation and fashion design. Incidentally, this month is being highlighted as Business Month and the event happens in the week being dubbed, Global Entrepreneurial Week.
Ponm Damou Kreations through this programme, endeavours to help artists, especially the young, to become more energized about pursuing their passion. There will be motivational jerks, models of success, information and resource persons that the artists can interact with. Of course there will be lots of performances including the rock band B9, exhibits of art and screening of local films.
The event is free to the general public and is intended to happen in the courtyard of the Alliance Francaise. Patrons are asked to walk with outside seating if they do not mind standing through the two hour programme. Eats and drinks will be on sale and patrons can make a financial contribution to the development of the arts if they are so inclined.
