The Caribbean Youth Film Festival (CYFF) will be collaborating with the The St. Lucia Public Library is carrying out a series of workshops on filmmaking for young people aged 15-25 island wide.
The workshops form part of the Caribbean Youth Film Festival, now in its 4th year, previously hosted in partnership with Rise St. Lucia. Participants will be invited to submit films to the competition, with sponsors having donated prizes for winners.
The workshops include important skills such as embedded literacy and employment readiness alongside technical and ICT use training in scriptwriting, filmmaking, video editing, and marketing.
The workshops are completely free for all participants and will be carried out in 6 different branch libraries across the island.
The workshops will take place on the following dates at the different libraries, 2016.
Soufriere – 13 July
Central – Screening and panel discussion on Film Making – Evening of 25th of July. Workshop 26th of July
Canaries – 28th of July
Marchand – 29th of July
Gros Islet – 2nd of August
Choiseul – 3rd of August
Babonneau – 4th of August
