As St. Lucia Carnival 2014 inches closer, the Cultural Development Foundation is putting plans together for this year’s staging of the Inter-commercial House Competition. Consequently, commercial entities, businesses and social organisations are invited to register for participation in the highly anticipated calypso competition. The activity has garnered a name for itself on the annual calendar of events for Carnival, and is hailed by many as, “The greatest carnival staff party”.
For the past twelve years, the competition has attracted the participation of emergent enterprises as well as long-standing establishments, whose participation has contributed to the development of the overall carnival product. In addition, it has provided the unique opportunity for marketing of the commercial houses as well as engendering camaraderie within the organisations.
