CDF Reaches Out With Its Visual Arts Exhibition Launch

The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) officially launched its Visual Arts Exhibition today Monday 31st March, 2014 at the Blue Coral Mall.  The exhibition forms part of the CDF’s slate of activities for ARTREACH, a celebration of various artistic forms. The visually stunning display includes paintings, prints, craft and mixed-media, all submitted by St. Lucian artists.

Speaking at the exhibition launch, Petrus Compton, Executive Chairman of the CDF encouraged students who were in attendance to realize their potential and accept that “everyone is an artist because art is an expression of who we are.  Therefore we are all creators of art.”

Venezuelan Ambassador, Leiff Escalona, who was also in attendance said, “All exhibitions are important as they give artists an opportunity to tell the story of the people which in time will become part of that country’s history.”
