Elra’s talent was evident from very early during her school days at the Ave Maria Primary School when she won the award for Best Chantwelle. She has performed with the Trinidad Theatre Workshop and was a finalist on Digicel’s Rising Stars.
The Saint Lucia School of Music has recognized her unique vocal skill with several voice awards. In 1999 she represented Saint Lucia at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles where she won first place in the original works category and second in the Broadway category. The following year she produced her first CD which featured Charles Cadet’s composition Just Call On Him.
She is a member the groups Hewannorra Voices and Our Lady’s Choir. Through the guidance and mentoring of Ms. Joyce Auguste, she was able to learn, love and appreciate Charles Cadet’s full body of work.
On Sunday May 3rd, 2015 Elra Ermay will perform at The Cadet Concert, proudly brought to you by The Cultural Development Foundation and the Saint Lucia School of Music.
