Bill Buckhurst is an actor and director who recently directed a stage version of Derek Walcott’s Omeros at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, London. His previous credits at Shakespeare’s Globe include: King Lear, Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. Some of his other directing includes: Barbarians and Tinderbox (Tooting Arts Club), The Vegemite Tales (West End/ Riverside Studios), and The Night Before Christmas (Theatre503). As assistant director, his credits include Get Santa!, Aunt Dan and Lemon (Royal Court). As an actor, his theatre credits include seasons at RSC, Royal Court, Shakespeare’s Globe, Propeller, Chichester, Northampton and Oxford Stage Company. Buckhurst’s film and television credits include: Skyfall, World War Z, New Tricks, Spooks, Collision, Murphy’s Law, Eastenders, Coronation Street, Holby City, Bad Girls, and As If.
