Highlights from our 2019 Calendar

Niger is a guitarist, poet, graphic artist, sign painter and drummer. His passion for music and drumming has afforded him the opportunity to perform with several Saint Lucian groups including Gwan Mouvman and Lapo Kabwit. He has represented Saint Lucia at several cultural festivals including:

➡️ the Maroon Festival in Carriacou
➡️ CARIFESTA
➡️ the Commonwealth Drumming Festival
➡️ the Francophonie Festival in Canada
➡️ the Rockland County Festival in New York
➡️ the World Festival of Black Arts and Culture on the African continent.

Mr. Nestor has also facilitated workshops and productions in Saint Lucia, at the Gallaudet University in Washington, DC and in Ireland.

He has won awards from the M&C Fine Arts Awards Scheme, individual CDF Awards and the Saint Lucia Medal of Merit (Silver) for his contribution to arts and culture at the Independence Awards Investiture Ceremony in 2015. Niger is a drumming teacher in selected schools and a facilitator of the CDF’s Artsfuzion Project.
