Jazz and the Arts in festive mode

This year, the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) is thrilled to be teaming up with the St. Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB), Jazz and Arts Festival to present Artists Market, on Saturday May 10th on the Rodney Bay Strip from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  With its renewed vision to showcase St. Lucia and Saint Lucians as the unique people we are, it is hoped that this year’s activity will facilitate further synergies among artists and promoters of the arts.

Exhibits will be showcased and patrons will have the opportunity to purchase from the wide array of pieces on display.  Artists will also be engaging in mini-“classes”: demonstrations of the processes involved in crafting some of their work.

This occasion will afford public the pleasure of interacting directly with the artists, thus giving visitors to the market an insight into the creation of the final art pieces and handmade works and an appreciation of the effort which goes into what is sometimes a rather elaborate procedure.
