Programming for the La Marguerite Flower Festival is fully underway, with community séances continuing this weekend, marking the commencement of La Marguerite Flower Festival celebrations in Saint Lucia.
The Cultural Development Foundation, on Friday 20th September, released Saint Lucia’s official 2013 La Marguerite Festival Community Events Calendar.
The calendar lists the various events being held in communities around the island to celebrate the La Marguerite Flower Festival.
Over the next few weekends and leading up to the Grande Fete Marguerite, activities will be held in communities around the island and will include Live-On-Air presentations on Radio Saint Lucia on Saturday 5 and 12 October by select La Marguerite Groups from 10 am, followed by the National Séance; a must-see for its moving music, witty lyrics and magnificent song and dance.
The National Séance will take place in Deniere Riviere on Saturday 12th October from 8 pm at the En Bas Cacao Disco. On Thursday October 17th the Grande Fete La Marguerite will commence with a Church Service from 10 am at the St. Michael’s Church in La Resource, followed by short group presentations.
