Members of the Grammy Recording Academy arrived in Saint Lucia Thursday afternoon to facilitate a Music Industry Symposium slated for Friday 27th and Saturday 28th April. A contingent comprising Senator Hon. Fortuna Belrose, Minister for the Creative Industries, Senior Business Development and Marketing Officer (CDF), Jimmy Clavier and Senior Training, Promotion and Development Officer (CDF), Barbara DuBoulay were on hand in the VIP Lounge at the Hewanorra International Airport to welcome the four member team.
Singers, musicians, producers and sound engineers are poised to receive first hand information and guidance from the music professionals who will engage participants when they interact at the at the two-day event at the Bay Garden Beach Resort. The facilitators are:
● Tracy Hamlin – International Recording Artist, Owner of DMH Records and Vocal Coach
● Stephanie Thomas – Entertainment Attorney and Owner of SKTLegal,
● Crystal Bozeman – Manager for Multi-Grammy Award winning Singer/Actress Mya and Traci Braxton as well as
● Elise Perry – Music Producer for Kindred and the Family Soul
Friday’s session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.
The event is a collaboration between the Events Company of Saint Lucia Inc. and the Cultural Development Foundation and is free to participants.
