Leebo was a sound engineer, singer, songwriter and producer. His influence and impact on Saint Lucian music is unmatched. An overwhelming outpouring of admiration and support was evident when “artists for Leebo” embarked on a project, The Leeboration Concert, to assist Leebo in taking care of medical expenses.
During his two (2) year battle with cancer, he was a source of inspiration to many. His friend and music colleague, Werner “Semi” Francis recalls a conversation with Leebo following his diagnosis. “When he was diagnosed with cancer, he called me to share the news with me. One of the things that struck me about what he said then was that after the initial thought of what the diagnosis would mean, he reflected and asked himself, “Why not me?, Why not me because I would not wish that for anyone else.”
