Art and the City forms part of the Arts Component for the 2025 Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival. It presents an interactive showcase of emerging Saint Lucian artists complemented by selected works of other notable artists regionally and internationally.
The city of Castries will be the central hub for everything Arts during the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival– a space to enjoy the confluence of rhythm, colour and movement. Castries will be transformed into a creative space that sets the ambience for an interactive, cross-cultural journey of artwork from local, renowned and burgeoning artists.
Set against the backdrop of the vibrant Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, the city of Castries will become the gallery space that features modern and contemporary genres that span visual, auditory and performing pieces. From May 01 to 11 preceding Main Stage, the multi-day event will invite artists to create an imaginative world and allow visitors and patrons to enjoy imagination and creativity in its limitless expressions. Castries– the art and cultural capital of the caribbean.

Step into a living mosaic of tradition as we honour the legacy of the late Mrs. Theresa Hall. Through a vibrant fusion of traditional folk and creole-inspired élan, we present an immersive multi-sensory celebration – from dance to our piquant gastronomic heritage, from sartorial traditions to fashion-forward creole couture. Her pioneering work brought folk dance from community into schools and tourism spaces, enriching both local heritage and cultural appreciation. Whether dancing the Lakonmèt, or adorned in a Wobe Dwiyet, her mark remains indelible as a passionate champion of our island heritage. Come as we encapsulate her enduring cultural impact in an evening of elegance, artistry, and cultural pride.
